Answers

  • 1. Make sure that FEA software is compatible with Windows 8.1

    2. The mfc71.dll file is related to the Microsoft Visual Studio .NET 2003 program and is part of many programs as runtime. I am not sure if this library file is compatible with Windows 8.1.

Summary: make sure that program a nd runtime is compatible with Windows 8.1. If not, try to install program in compatibility mode. Otherwise contact software vendor for help or buy upgrade.

My guess: Last operating system that was compatible with your system may have been Windows XP due to backward compatibility with .NET 1.x. FEA upgrade seems to be only option here.
