    How to update a workflow solution with new version without affecting currently runnning workflows?

  • So when you'll deploy the Visual Studio workflow, it will automatically update the existing version with the new one.

    Can you please elaborate what is the problem you are facing?

  • When you update a workflow, existing instances of the workflow that have already started are not affected.

    Like for web parts add a redirect directive in the web.config of the site, where the web part is loaded.<o:p></o:p>

  • Don't know about that. I've only used SharePoint Designer to create and publish workflows.

  • Are you using the Sharepoint Designer Workflow or the Visual Studio Workflow?
