I meet an question:
My report was landscape(width> height), paper: statment, width 8.5in and height 5.5in.
if print to PDF format, it display correctlly; and then print it on wire printers , it also printed correctlly(seems print portraintlly).
but if I print on wire printers directlly, the report will print real "landscapelly", 90 degree rotated.
how to handle this issue?
I have tested set the SSRS report to 'portrait', it will print correctlly, but the paper height will longer than actual paper, if report is more than one records, will leave a blank actual paper after printing between each report.
From the current description, I understand that the report can correctly be viewed in PDF format but can’t be correctly printed. Personally, it should be caused by certain print settings of the PDF Reader software. If you use Acrobat to view the PDF file, it can be the “Choose Paper Source by PDF page size” property under the Page Handling section that causes the issue. Here is a relative thread(http://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Forums/sqlserver/en-US/f92796b2-1bbd-4fae-a697-026d62321b3a/pdf-appears-in-landscape-but-prints-in-portrait?forum=sqlreportingservices).
As for the extra blank page issue when you set the orientation of the report to Portrait, it occurs because Width(InteractiveSize) + Margin(Left) + Margin(Right) > Width(PageSize) in the report. To avoid this issue, we can remove the white space in the right-hand section of the report body or set the ConsumeContainerWhiteSpace property of the report to True.

Thanks a lot for your help. your referenced documents not meet my request.
My requirment is: I have to create a report(width > height), need to print it on wire printers. the paper is 'statement', print from top to botton.
So I created a landscape SSRS report(the appearance is like my target report), see above screenshot, and print it on wire printers directlly, but the printer print it from left to right(I hope it can be printed from top to botton).
so my question is "is my solution correct?"
and how to create this kind of report?
