Capturing DDL operations through SSIS

  • Can we capture DDl operations through SSIS and replicate those data at user end?

  • Hello,

    SSIS is not SQL Server event driven, it can't react on DDL operations.

    You would have to use SQL Server Profiler / server sided traces or DDL trigger to log such operations.

    Actually i am using SSIS for capturing these logs and replicating them , so if we use DDLTrigger or SQL Server Profiler to log DDL operations, can we use those logs that has been generated for SSIS and from their replicate.

    Sorry, I don't understand and also not what you are trying to achieve; something like the SQL Server Distributed Replay to run the same statements also agains an other server? If you log the DDL statements as plain text, then yes, of course.
