There are so many problems I wonder if it wouldnt be easier to simply re-install the OS

    They include

1-Office 2013 needs to be re-installed (Not important)

    2-A registry issue

    3-MCUpdate is corrupt

    4-XLive needs to be reinstalled

5-Event tracing is timing out waiting for a dependency to start (thousands of these)

    6-WMI could not be restarted

7-HArd disk controller error (on HD 2) This may be responsible in part for some of the freezing

8-Net Framework 3.51 needs to be reinstalled

9-Side by side service is failing because a dependency is corrupt

10-Bonjour service (iTunes) is constantly crashing iTunes needs to be removed.  This has been happening since march

11-Hot Key Utility is corrupt and needs to be removed

    12-DNSessntiials & raptor_IM are corrupt

    There are more.

I suspect the HD might be a good place to start as a problem with it may very well cause the other corruption

Run CHKDSK and go to the HD mfr download their drive checking utility and run it.

Like I said.  It may just be easier to re-install

Do you have a "restore" partition?  Contact the computer mfr for the procedures to restore to factory.  You have already tried a restore point and that obviously didn't work so your options are to live with problem or do a repair install/clean install.

  • Please provide us with your Event Viewer administrative logs by following these steps:

    Click Start Menu
Type eventvwr into Search programs and files (do not hit enter)
Right click eventvwr.exe and click Run as administrator
    Expand Custom Views
    Click Administrative Events
    Right click Administrative Events
Save all Events in Custom View As...
Save them in a folder where you will remember which folder and save as Errors.evtx
Go to where you saved Errors.evtx
Right click Errors.evtx -> send to -> compressed (zipped) folder
Upload the .zip file to skydrive or a file sharing service and put a link to it in your next post

Just leave off the "HTTPS":// it will let you put the rest

You should also verify your account for the future

If you are being told you cant post a link, or embed a picture (or any other restriction) you just need to post to this thread saying your account has not been validated

  • Hi,

As ZigZag3143x referred to, your problem is a little bit complex. Except his suggestions, you can also make a in-place upgrade.

  • i would just re install it but, my computer didn't come with a disc so i would have to buy a new one and i am not sure how much they are but i would assume that they are pricey

i am trying to run CHKDSK but it only shows up for a second and then disappears
