How to create and use a Managed Service Account for running scripts?

    Question

  • I have a simple VB script I'd like to run as a scheduled task using a Managed Service Account.

I've created the Manager Service Account using powershell (on a 2008 R2 domain controller) using the following:

New-ADServiceAccount -Name script_account -Path "cn=Managed Service Accounts,dc=mydomain,dc=com" -accountPassword (ConvertTo-SecureString -AsPlainText "P@ssw0rd" -Force) -enabled $True -TrustedForDelegation $true -description "This account was created on 9/9/2013 solely to run scripts." -Confirm

I see my created account in the Managed Service Accounts OU within AD, but I'm not sure how to finish - how do I create a scheduled task to run my vb script using this account?

    Thank you,

    Ed
