Putting Computer to Sleep/Hibernation Crashes My Computer

    Question

  • Hi,

When I put my computer to sleep or hibernation, it will often crash. More specifically, the computer will be "on", but the screen will be black and everything will be unresponsive except for holding the power button to force shut down.

According to my PC, these three files are what are sent to Microsoft:

    C:\Windows\Minidump\091913-39265-01.dmp

    C:\Users\(my username)\AppData\Local\Temp\WER-1413468-0.sysdate.xml

    C:\Windows\MEMORY.DMP

I can upload these files however need be if that would help.

Any advice, help, or anything would be greatly appreciated!! Thanks!

This one was Related to Rt630x64.sys 8101E/8168/8169 NDIS 6.30 64-bit Driver from Realtek.  Yours is about 1.5 years old.  I would re-install the newest driver available.

I would also remove Kaspersky and use the built in Defender.

  • Thank you so much! I am trying to figure out how to update these files. I have updated a few of them ,and for the rest I have went to the Lenovo site for my computer and updated every driver available. Thanks again, I had no idea that's what had been crashing my computer!

  • Hi, I was wondering how exactly to update these files. I have went to the links and haven't found a way to update them yet, though they do give me good information on what the files themselves are. The links on carrona.org take me to pages that help a bit, but don't give me information on updating the files.

If it helps, I have a Lenovo P500 with Windows 8 64-bit, two 4Gb sticks of RAM, Intel Core i5-3210, all of that. I don't know enough about updating drivers outside of the Device Manager to know what to do. I also just fixed a Code 10 with Intel Management Engine Interface, but I doubt it fixed the problem.

Again, thank you so much for your time and help! It is greatly appreciated!

    Some generic finding river help

    How To Find Drivers:

    Search
Google for the name of the driver
Compare the Google results with what's installed on your system to figure out which device/program it belongs to
Visit the web site of the manufacturer of the hardware/program to get the latest drivers (DON'T use Windows Update or the Update driver function of Device Manager).
If there are difficulties in locating them, post back with questions and someone will try and help you locate the appropriate program

The most common drivers are listed on these pages:
    http://www.carrona.org/dvrref.php
    http://sysnative.com/drivers/

Driver manufacturer links are on this page: http://www.carrona.org
