recently i format and reinstall windows 2008 r2 with all available updates.
thou its unbelievably sluggish! since first boot.
i check lots of articles only manage to lower it little bit after i removed virtual memory
i checked for virus spyware what ever you can think of!
and my system has good HW spec:
CPU i5 3.1GHZ
RAM: 22GB DDR3 1600ms
more than enough free space
and its test environment so no overload of users or anything its just super slow
most of time opening browser / compressor software even notepad make everything go not respond for like 10~15 seconds.
then back to normal
any idea what might cause this?
Is the machine part of a domain? What is the network configuration? Are resources being accessed over the network? Have you looked at the event logs to see if you are receiving any warnings? You haven't given us much to go on, so we have to start with some pretty broad questions.
well i checked event viewer the only error i coudl find was this
"The Forefront Identity Manager Synchronization Service service terminated with service-specific error %%-2146234334."
I don't think it relevant to slow performance of os and as for network and users its test environment so there is no user except me.
and yes its DC system.
if anything more i can put to solve this mystery let me know i check and update it.
