SCCM 2012 SP1: maximum runtime application/package installation

    Question

  • HI,

Short question: how can you see, define the maximum runtime an application/package runs when distributing via SCCM 2012?
Is it via "maximum runtime"? I thought this was only for defining if package fits into maintenance windows ...?

    Please advise.

  • Not sure if I 100% understand the question, but here is what "I think" you're asking :)

The "Maximum Runtime" value, is a value (default 120 min) that will allow the program to run for x minutes before it fails.

So your application, don't send an exit code before the time runs out, it will kill the process.

And yes... The same value is also used by maintenance windows.
