Create Group by SQL Computer Object and Domain Joined

    Question

  • Not sure if it is possible but trying to make life easier on the client I am working with.

They have multiple domains all setup with trust that seem to have issues.  However, that is another story.   We created 4 RunAS accounts for each SQL Management Pack monitoring account.  Current we have groups that have manually entered servers.  One group for each domain.  We then have the profile and Run AS accounts assigned to each one of those groups.

I am trying to figure a way to create a Dynamic Inclusion rule that will include SQL servers but only include that specific Domain.  Only need to do this to help keep the client from having to always add servers into these groups.

  • This works for me.

    Query Formula:

(Object is SQL Role AND (Windows Computer.DNS Name Contains <insertdomain> ) AND True )
