  • Hi,

    When are we likely to get an update to SCM for Windows 8.1 and Windows 2012 R2?

    Hello,

    I am also itching for an update to SCM.  I use the LocalGPO /export feature to help automate my image builds in MDT.  I've had it 100% scripted + ApplyGPOPack for awhile now.  This is really killing me... I'm spoiled now I guess.

  • Me too, we have integrated SCM into all of our server build standards, so are finding it hard to be able to use 2012 R2 in Production without any hardening to apply to it!

    Please let us know ASAP!

    Cheers

  • +1 - we would really like these baselines too (and IE11).  Any update on this?

  • Yes, I even opened up an incident with Microsoft using a paid incident to get an ETA when this update will be available.  After 4 days of wheel spinning, I was told that there is no scheduled update to SCM and that they don't support it!  Help!?!

  • Gee, I'd like to see it too.

    But snooping around all the SCM resources out here, it seems that the SCM team is AWOL. Forum questions are answered by partners if they are answered at all, and all the SCM web resources were last updated about a year ago.

    I fear that SCM has turned into a Solution Decelerator.

    If that's not true, would someone who actually knows something speak up! Not having information/ETAs isn't working for us.

  • Taking a WAG, Server 2012 came out in Aug-2012 and the baselines were out in Jan-2013 (say 6 months).  Server 2012 R2, I wouldn't expect it before Mar-2014.

  • Its been a year now since SCM 3.0 and still no baseline updates for Windows 2012 R2 and Windows 8.1. I was waiting for the baselines before we deploy Windows 8.1 but I'm afraid we can wait no longer. We will have to proceed with the Windows 8.0 baselines and hopefully shouldn't be any major issues. Some indication of when we can expect the new baselines would have been useful but the SCM team has been so quiet one must wonder if they have been shown the door.

  • Hi

    you must add these lines in ZTIGpoPack.wsf (for MDT) and LocalGPO.wsf (for LocalGPO), and for MDT 2013, copy ZTIGpopack to Deploymentshrare\Scripts

    sOSVersion = oEnvironment.Item("OSCurrentVersion")
                If (Left(sOSVersion,3) = "6.3") and oEnvironment.Item("IsServerOS") then
                        sOS = "WS2012R2"
                        oLogging.CreateEntry "Using Windows Server 2012 R2 GPO Pack", LogTypeInfo
                ElseIf (Left(sOSVersion,3) = "6.3") and Not(oEnvironment.Item("IsServerOS")) then
                        sOS = "Win81"
                    oLogging.CreateEntry "Using Windows 8.1 GPO Pack", LogTypeInfo

    Regards

    This imported nicely into SCM and gave me the baselines that I needed.
