Users in Windows Domain can not print without Manage permissions.

    Question

  • Using a Windows Domain, DC and print server are on a 2008 R2 machine. Regular users are unable to print without Manage Documents permission. Admins are able to print to all devices. It's not a whole lot to go on but it is all that I know so far. Any help would be much appreciated.

Answers

  • I needed to use a different driver for the print device itself. The Xerox Global driver caused the problem so I chose the model specific driver.

  • What happens when user are assigned just Print permission?

Any errors in the windows PrintService event log? make sure both are enabled.

  • The users can't print at all with Print only permission.

    One error stands out says:

An attempt was made to reference a token that does not exist.

    Other than this nothing else.
