Dayhttp://social.technet.microsoft.com/Profile/en-US/?user=Andy%20S.%20DayHow to use Microsoft forefront to scan a file using command line<p>Hi Ashwani,<br/><br/>There is no command line feature to scan an uploaded file, but as long as you have told Sharepoint to 'Scan documents on upload' it will pass them to Antigen/Forefront for scanning. This setting is found in the Sharepoint Central Administration screen. There is actually no such configurable setting in Antigen/Forefront, although the Sharepoint setting is viewable (in read-only mde; greyed-out).</p> <p class=MsoNormal style="margin:0cm 0cm 0pt"><span style="color:#365f91"><span style="font-size:small"><span style="font-family:Calibri"><span style="font-size:x-small"><span style="font-size:xx-small">Kind Regards,</span></span></span></span></span></p> <p class=MsoNormal style="margin:0cm 0cm 0pt"><span style="font-size:16pt;color:#17365d;font-family:'Freestyle Script'" lang=EN-GB>Andy Day</span></p> <p><span style="font-size:10pt;color:#0f243e;font-family:'Arial Narrow','sans-serif'">CSS Security, Sr. Support Engineer (Antigen/Forefront Server Security)</span></p>Tue, 09 Jun 2009 11:22:12 Z2009-06-09T11:22:12Zhttp://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/Antigen/thread/4be9864a-efb0-40e6-9eee-acf2e63ab114#0d9e5366-3ad4-4055-89ab-ba0a40cc5957http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/Antigen/thread/4be9864a-efb0-40e6-9eee-acf2e63ab114#0d9e5366-3ad4-4055-89ab-ba0a40cc5957Andy S. Dayhttp://social.technet.microsoft.com/Profile/en-US/?user=Andy%20S.%20DayHow to use Microsoft forefront to scan a file using command lineIn my last post, I assumed that by &quot;web site&quot; you meant Sharepoint website, since this is the only web protection that Antigen and Forefront Server products give. If you are talking about general protection for your HTTP website, you'd need a file system-based scanner and firewall scanner inbetween the webserver and the internet. Consider Forefront Client Security and ISA/IAG as combinable solutions (see the Forefront <a href="http://www.microsoft.com/forefront/en/us/roadmap.aspx">Roadmap</a> for more info). Please repost to a different Forefront forum (<a href="http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/category/forefrontclientsecurity/">FCS</a> / <a href="http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/forefrontedgeiag">ISA/IAG</a>), if you need to ask your original question in relation to one of these technolgies.<br/><br/> <p class=MsoNormal style="margin:0cm 0cm 0pt"><span style="color:#365f91"><span style="font-size:small"><span style="font-family:Calibri"><span style="font-size:x-small"><span style="font-size:xx-small">Kind Regards,</span></span></span></span></span></p> <p class=MsoNormal style="margin:0cm 0cm 0pt"><span style="font-size:16pt;color:#17365d;font-family:'Freestyle Script'" lang=EN-GB>Andy Day</span></p> <p><span style="font-size:10pt;color:#0f243e;font-family:'Arial Narrow','sans-serif'">CSS Security, Sr. Support Engineer (Antigen/Forefront Server Security)</span></p>Tue, 09 Jun 2009 11:31:44 Z2009-06-09T11:31:44Z
