This website explains in detail about the retirement of Microsoft's new generation of certifications.  You take Microsoft exam at a Prometric testing center. You can find the closest one to you by visiting www.prometric.com. The best suggestion in perparing for an exam is to gain proficiency of the objectives. This includes knowledge as well as experience on the tested material.
