Definition Update question

We currently have WSUS configured to auto approve defintion updates and a group policy to "Allow Automatic Updates immeadiate installation" WSUS is not co-located with SCCM but we do mange it with SCCM as a Software Update Point.
My question is, that whether or not I have the "Use Configuration Manager as the primary source for definition updates" checked or not in my policy it appears as if I am getting updates through WSUS.
What is the difference in checking that box and not checking that box?

Saturday, April 28, 2012 3:37 AM with that checed you should be using the DP's as the update source. You do not need that.
