I have read all the forms on this Error but to no avail have any of the solutions worked... does anyone know how to resolve this problem?
Endpoint shows up in my start menu but then removes it self when the installation comes back with, "cannot complete the system center Endpoint Protection installation." The system does a roll back does not install. Something is keeping it from installing and I cannot pin point what it might be.
Its happening on XP machines 32bit and Win 7 64 bit computers (professional)
I am not using SCCM to push it onto these computer I am doing a manual install from a flash drive. Can anyone provide a resolution I had read forums over and over but cannot solve this problem.
Thanks for any help provided!

Can you post the error data in the logs found in C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Microsoft Security Client\Support ?
(or the equivalent location from an XP machine - C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\... if I still remember correctly.)

Hi,
Thank you for the post.
First, please copy FEPInstall.exe to the client disk and install FEP from disk not flash drive.
Then verify FEP installation prerequisites (include no other AV software), Base Filter Engine service status started, no Image File Execution Options entry, use Procmon to find the access denied errors. Here are the check points details threads.

I have tried the following and still the issue with installing Endpoint continues not to work.
So the Base Filter Engine service is started now?
