Microsoft FEP and McAfee EEPC

Hi,
I am looking at migrating the bulk of my McAfee security solutions to Microsoft solutions. Due to some other limitations I currently have I cannot do a "fork lift" and get rid of McAfee all together all at the same time. We are currently using EEPC v6.x and will require to continue to use it for sometime, but since the migration to FEP is pretty straight forward I wanted to ask if anyone has experience and can answer the following:
1. Can FEP and McAfee EEPC coexist?
2. Since one of the requirements of EEPC is the McAfee agent, can it be left on the system to handle the EEPC portion of McAfee?
3. If #2 is possible, is there a way to deploy FEP, automate the removal of VSE but leave the McAfee agent?
Any tips\tricks etc that anyone could add would be greatly appreciated.
Mark

Hi Mark,
I am in a similar situation, but a bit further down the road than you are now. In answer to your questions...
1. Yes
2. No, when you deploy FEP it will remove the McAfee agent as part of the installation process (along with VSE if you are using this too). You will need to re-deploy the agent after FEP has successfully deployed.
3. See 2,
I used SCCM to automate the whole process.
Hope that helps you out a bit.
Cheers
Paul
