    Hello, I have exchange 2010 sp1 RU6 with forefront for exchange(single server).  I am looking to update my forefront this weekend and exchange next week.  I want to put both on the latest.

    Today I planned to run windows update which include thee forefront for exchange RU3.   When googling around i saw there is a forefront for exchange sp2?  

    Is forefront sp2?  or forefront that has to be installed on exchange once it has sp2 on it?  Do I skip the RU3, and go find forefront SP2?  Why isn't that in windows update?

    I'm so confused.  What is my path from exchange 2010 sp1 ru6/original forefront for exchange RTM -->  Exchange 2010 sp2 with latest forefront?

    Hey 

    Thanks for the post ,

    FPE Rullups 1-4 Have there on specific updates and fixes , 

    If You looking for each rullup - deatails would describes what's included .

    Install the Rullups from 1 to 4 :

    Rullup 1

    Rullup 2

    Rullup 3

    Rullup 4

    It's the best practice to install them one by one .

    Windows update may not includes the all rullups .

    Hi,

    you can install RU4 without installing the former updates because RU4 conatins all the fixes from the former rollups.

    Hey Christian  ,

    I remember some cases that install only the RU4 causes problems

    Missing previsouly update Msgs .

    Not once that happaned  .

    While Install the RU'S in arrangement  from 1-4

    I complement the RU'S .

    But if recommend for only the latest one  - I would like to see Microsoft Doc about it .

    Thanks everybody, I let windows update install ru3 and all is well..  just to be straight, when I put SP2 on exchange next week, RU3 on forefront will be fine right?  thanks
