Answered Tasks view is not showing in Administrator console FPE

    When i start Forefront Protection for exchange 2010 administrator console , i can only see two option ( Monitoring ,  Policy Management )

    Tasks is not showing , how to reinstall this feature ?

    Hi,

    could it be that the server doesn't hold the mailbox role? The Task pane contains the function for a scheduled scan which only makes sense when the mailbox role is installed.

    Thanks Christian , yes  it does not hold the mailbox role ,  in my case its installed on Edge server and mailbox in deffrent box  , any idea how to on-demand scan the mailbox  ?

    Hi,

    you can't scan the information store from a remote server. To scan the information store you have to install FPE on your mailbox server.
