    We are currently running Forefront Protection Server for Exchange 2010 version 11.1.1614.0. Is this the latest version? I have been to the following TechNet site: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/forefront/ff899332 and I see that there are no service packs available. It looks like the only updates are RU1-4. I don't see these in the 'Installed Updates.' The other thing that is confusing is that the file version of the all the updates in RU4 is 11.0. which is obviously lower than the currently installed version of Forefront. Anybody have any ideas? Thanks!

    Hi,

    it looks to me that you are running the RTM-version of FPE which has a build number lower than 11.0.689.0 (RU1). There is no version 11.1.1614.0 for FPE.

    The latest rollup is RU 4 which you can download here:

    Hi,

    We're currently running Exchange 2010 SP1 RU8 and are planning a SP2 RUx upgrade.  We'd first like to upgrade Forefront for Exchange (v. 11.0.713) which runs on our CAS servers. Is there a newer version of Forefront available or only Hotfix Rollups?  Are the Rollups accumulative?

    Hi Christian,

    It's our understanding that Microsoft has discontinued further releases of Forefront Protection 2010 for Exchange Server as of  Dec 1, 2012.

    When will Forefront scan engines actually stop receiving updates?

    Hi,

    you can't buy FPE anymore since Dec 1, 2012.

    The engines updates will stop by the end of 2015.
