Hello,
Just wondering whether other customers are experiencing issues with ncvbin.def.xxx.tmp files collecting in C:\Windows\Temp on the SharePoint Servers. I understand there was a known issue with these files and the Norman Antivirus engines quite some time ago. Was this issue ever resolved? Thanks.

Hi,
Thank you for the post.
It seems like those temp files are related to Norman engine mapper, please try to rebuild the Norman engine folder .

I am experiencing the exact same issue on all my SharePoint 2010 servers.
Nick, can you please provide specific steps to "try to rebuild the Norman engine folder"? This is pretty vague.
Thanks.

We are having the exact same problems. Searching the internet shows some mention of the problems (from as far back as 2008), but no real solution.
Nick, could you please explain what you mean by "try to rebuild the Norman engine folder".
Thanks!

I just created a vbs script to delete those particular files that are older than 1 day and have that running as a schedualed task. Why delete older than 1 day? well the curent days file cannot b deelted be cuse it is in use.
Hope this helps some one with clean up.
