The FCS starts to scan network drives once the scan in initiated through the FCS policy. There is no option to select/deselect the network drives scan in FCs policy ?

If you can see which drive is being scanned ie \\fileserver\share you can add an exclusion in your FCS policy that is deployed to the client for excluding \\fileserver\ this should stop your clients from trying to scan that file server.  We currently don't have an all or nothing option for not scanning network drives.
