I would recommend posting this request on a Windows Live Messenger Forum or newsgroup.  These forums focus on Forefront Client Security

    Thanks

I found this on the yahoo! website:

    open my computer
double click on the c drive
double click on the program files folder
double click on the msn messenger folder

find the file called MsnMessenger which is an application, then right click on this file and select properties

click the compatibility tab at the top the check the box to run in compatibaility mode with widows xp service pack 2 and check the box to run in administrator mode!

    click apply

This worked for me, and I hope this helps!

I am trying to work my built-in webcam for Windows Live Messenger and did what you said but for some reason I cannot click to run in administrator mode. Basically, when I run it on MSN it freezes and kicks me off. It's an APPCRASH thing so it's not something I need to go to HP for. Please help.

Thank you so much for this information.  I have been working on trying to get it to work for the past two days.  I only wish I would have found this sooner.

    Once again, Thanks!
