Definition download address?
Definition download address?
- Hi, I was wondering what address the client points to when downloading definitions/updates? I have a few kiosk computers with the client installed but we have blocked all websites on the machines so the client isn't updating definitions. Thank you!

Hi,
Thank you for your post.
According to your description, I suspect that you deploy FCS client without MOM agent(clientsetup /nomom). On this scenario, we need get definition updates either from Microsoft Update(http://update.microsoft.com) or manually install downloaded updates(http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/forefront/clientsecurity/bb508812.aspx)

- FCS uses Microsoft Update .. so the kiosk must have Automatic Updates and BIT's enabled etc ie a normal Microsoft Update update must work...
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/885819 has a good list of the URL's that must be allowed for MU/AU to work.

- Do you have an SMS infrastructure?
If not then it's pulling from somewhere under the following location I believe:
