    Hi all,

     

    i've encountered a problem at one of my customers. i am installing FCS in a one server topology and after installing all pre-requistes and starting the FCS installation itself, i encounter a failure while trying to install the Collection Server Role.

     

    i've attached the MOMServer.log (found some error in the middle, but can't realy make much out of it).

     

    please help. thanks

    Hi Yaniv

    Thanks for your question - this log doesn't have enough information to diagnose your issue.  Please take a look at the MOMDB.log in the same directory and look for errors.  A common issue is a lack of drive space (a default FCS installation attempts to create a 15 GB OnePoint DB).  If you find a different error, please post it (I don't need to see the whole log)

    Has anyone resolved this issue? I am having the same problem with my install. I see no other indication of a problem.  Is there no other way to demo this product other than to install the whole beast?

    What for me the sollution was is click back in the installation feeld of FCS installation, then I stopped the mom services ( because MOM was allready installed on my server)  and click next in your FCS installation and your installation goes further.

    u need .net 1.1 for MOM to install... took me a bit to figure it out. once i ran the mom installer msi i finally got an error message showing the prerequesites for mom. .net 1.1 should be added to the prereq list for forefront...

    I found an answer!
    To solve this problem you need open your MOM Console and configure all steps.
    Select a vurtial Directory, configure the accounts etc and all will work!
