    Hi,

one of our clients has started using ISA Server 2006 and now has some issues using our application for FTP updates. Our application uses RFC 2428 FTP Extensions and someone told us that ISA Server 2006 is unable to understand this and thus rejects FTP communication. Can anyone confirm this or has anyone working solution (we need to use RFC 2428 for other clients and maintaining two versions of the application does not make sense...)

    Thanks for any help, Tom.

    Hi Tom,

I am pretty sure that is not the truth. ISA Server is all standards based and I have never seen an ISA Server with an FTP issue, which can't be explained by mis-configuration or something outside of its realm of influence.

What are the errors you are getting? Are you trying to upload? Are you aware of the switch on the FTP filter which allows for Read-Only FTP access? This is set per rule, so I am not sure if this is affecting you?

    Let me know. Thanks.

    D.
