Forefront Server Security Reporting
- Hi All,
We have deployed Forefront Server Security on Exchange 2007 Edge Transport Server long back , recently some changes were done by my colleague , which he can't recall now.
The problem is , I can't see the statistics of Messages and Attachments which I used to monitor weekly once.
How to get those Messages & Attachments Statistics ( report - Incidents - Statistics ) ??? as I need to make monthly report.
Thanks in Advanced.
Regards, Amjad

Hi,
Thank you for posting.
As far as I know, Forefront will save the statistics information in the statistics.fdb file. If a new email is scanned, it will increase the number and save it in statistics.fdb. Please checked your statistics.fdb file and make sure it’s not empty, otherwise we can see nothing in the statistics pane.
I did some research and found this issue usually happens if Forefront does not have the write access to the file statistics.fdb file. You can have a check to Forefront data folder and confirm it.
To solve the problem, please check the two folder’s security permission setting. Make sure the SYSTEM account and the Network Service account have Full Control permission to these two folders. After we modify the folder permission, please stop the FSCController service (it will also stop the Exchange Information Store service). Then restart the Exchange Information Store service and start FSCController service.
Meanwhile , you may refer to the following article to check the settings.
