Am planning to setup an ISA-to-ISA (Main and Branch offices) using PPTP protocol... is it possible to use a static IP address for the first ISA and dynamic IP for the second ISA? and if it is possible, how is that could be done pleaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaase????
anyone can help and go with the procedures with me step by step, because i did what most of articals said but nothing worked for e and i don't know why?

Its not recommended to use Static IP on ISA Server and that also for VPN. However you can try to using DYNDNS on Second ISA and see how it goes.

Monday, July 12, 2010 3:46 PMIt needs to be Static. The configuration expects an IP#,...I don't think there is any place to give it a FQDN if you wanted to (but I could be wrong). Plus the SIte-to-Site is "always up",...if the IP changes it breaks it and takes it down and I don't think the dynamic DNS stuff reacts quick enough to allow the connection to be brought back up in a reasonable amount of time.However some ISPs that don't have true Static IP#s do have what they call a "sticky IP#" which works like a DHCP Reservation. One of those should work.
