Wake on LAN through Site to Site VPN
- I'm having trouble getting Wake on LAN to work across an ISA 2006 site to site VPN. Attemping this using unicast packets. I can see the traffic on both sides of the vpn link. Logs below. Still, the target machine doesn't wake up. When I send the same WoL packet on the local subnet it works fine. Any ideas?

Rule: Allow Wake on LAN to Branch
Source: Internal (xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx:4786)
Destination: Branch1 (yyy.yyy.yyy.yyy:9)
Protocol: Wake on LAN

Closed Connection

I understand that the packet broadcast method of WOL won't work through the firewall. That's what thee thread you referred to detailed. I would think the packet unicast would work though and I'm not seeing packets dripped or denied as Giuseppe did.
