Locked Installing Forefront TMG on local server

    Hi, I installed Forefront TMG on my Windows Server. The configuration steps (when I click "Connect"), ask me to specify a storage server (I believe this is what it was). However, I need to use a remote server. As I am on a single server which acts as everything (AD, etc) and then have VMs for things like MOSS which are single server, is there a way I can install TMG on the same local server? Thanks

      Hi,

      Forefront TMG installs by default all components on the local server when you install Forefront TMG Standard (except the selection of the TMG MMC). I think you made a mistake during the installation. To see how Forefront TMG is installed on a local server with all roles, read: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc441440.aspx

        I'm actually using Enterprise. It will only let me install one of the 3 different installation modes because I'm installing on a domain controller. This may be part of the problem. I will try the Standard Edition.

          Hi,

          installing Forefront TMG on a Domain Controller is not supported. You have to install the EMS and the TMG nodes on a member server
