Help with latest version of ISA
- Hi,
I've been doing a bit of a research on the latest version of ISA and i'm a little confused on the product line. From what I can understand MS forefront TMG is the next version of ISA and it only runs on windows 64-bit version. My problem is that I can only see MS forefront TMG for medium size business on the volume licensing service center website. Our business has more than 400 users so this version wouldn't be suitable for us. I need to a product that will accommodate our needs. I basically need to run latest version of ISA with windows 2008, preferably 32-bit platform. Please help?

- You cannot run ISA or TMG on WS08 x32.
You can run ISA on WS03 x32
You can run TMG on WS08 x64.
There is no MS firewall or proxy product for WS08 x32 and none is planned.
Even Windows 2008 R2 has dropped x32.
TMG MBE (what you find on the VL service) was produced to satisfy SA requirements and to provide a firewall for Windows Essential Business Server; so yes, it's targeted for SMB.
TMG 2010 will ship by the end of this year and will run on WS08 x64 SP2 and R2.

- Thanks. That clears up a few things. I'm trying to download the RC from the link but for some reason the keeps going in a loop after I click on continue button grrr.
