I'm trying to copy an existing access rule and paste it as a new rule for a new user, but Forefront TMG keeps erroring out with 0x80070002

Mind you, copy-pasting a rule ALWAYS worked before and haven't had any issues until now.

Also, when I try creating the rule from scratch, it will error out with the same code.

Anyone know what's wrong? I was told to forward this question/issue to this forum section. The original thread is here: Paste Failed 0x80070002

    Hi,

    Thank you for the post.

As far as I understand, if the rule was corrupt, you will receive error 0x80070002. You may connect to adsiedit.msc and connect to cn=fpc2 with default naming context on localhost:2171 and then deleted the corrupted policy guid and reboot the server.

My boss looked at it and there were some corrupt rules messing up with the config. He removed them, and we rebooted the server. We were able to create/duplicate new rules again.
