AnswerISA server 2006 - FTP server problems

    Hi

I have a problem with ISA server 2006, Windows Server 2003 R2 and FTP session.

A FTP server is published through the ISA server. When the FTP client uploads lots of small files the session halts after around 30 secs. When uploading large files (200 mb) everything is going fine.

I have ran some different test and the result seems to be that the ISA server is the problem.

Anyone who have experienced this problem ?

I think you are hitting one of the limits specified in Flood Mitigation Settings. Check the Alerts to verify this is the case.
Make an exclusion for the FTP client or raise the limits (Configuration/General/Flood Mitigation Settings)

    Hi Kent

    Thanks for your input.

Unfortunately there are no alerts (regarding this issue). However, I have raised Maxuimum TCP Request/minut to 1000 and Maximum Concurrent TCP connections ... to 300. But to no avail.

What do you see in the ISA traffic log when the failed FTP requests occur?
If you see denied traffic please look at the "Result Code" field and report back.
