I propose here is a solution:
block by IP address host accounts.google.com 173.194.69.84Chrome as Google refers to services on IP addresses instead of domain names
> accounts.google.com
Server: google-public-dns-a.google.com
Address: 8.8.8.8Non-authoritative answer:
Name: accounts.l.google.com
Addresses: 2a00: 1450:4008: c01 :: 54
173.194.69.84
Aliases: accounts.google.com- Proposed As Answer by MaximusMF Monday, February 18, 2013 7:24 AM

Hi,
Thank you for the post.
You may use Domain name set for Gmail and see if it works.
