Website : http://www.elmajdal.net/ISAServerDoes it or doesn't it? One MVP says no, another MVP says yes. Please clarify whether ISA 2006 will run on 32-bit Windows Server 2008 RC0 or RC1? Thanks.
- I'm running it on 32bit rc0 with no problems at all.
Where did u see any MVP Saying yes it runs ??
ISA Server 2006 MMC will only be installed on Windows Server 2008. The Firewall Service will not be installed.
This will enable you to remotely connect to ISA Server 2006 .
Is it clear now???

Website : http://www.elmajdal.net/ISAServer- Just to clarify, I am not a MVP. I have seen the same articles and posts, and I have ISA running on 08 x32 I am sure it is not supported, and it could even be a fluke that it runs on x32. As with all MS products, I'd only run it on certified hardware and software revisions. My installation was only for investigative purposes.
hi,
Thanks for your reply.
But as i said earlier.
Only the MMC part will be installed. The Firewall engine will not be installed on a win2k8 server.
do u have screen shots ?

Hi
I’m looking to upgraded from ISA2006 server to MS Forefront Threat Management Gateway 2010.
I have a few questions about MS Forefront Threat Management Gateway 2010
1) Can it be virtualised on Hyperv Win2008 R2 server?
2) Is it best practice to do this?
3) Can ISA2006 server be virtualised on Hyperv Win2008 R2 server?
Thanks
For best practices, check Jim Harrison discussing Virtualize your ISA or Forefront TMG servers
as for your other question, ISA/TMG can be virtualized even on VMWare.
