When trying to install on a server that already has SQL Server 2008, I get an error to the effect that SQL Server 2005 SP1 Reporting Services cannot be found.

If I also install SQL Server 2005 Express edition with reporting services on the server, will everything have a happy ending?

    Any caveats?

    Hi Marcus,

FSSMC has not been tested with SQL Server 2008, therefore setup will correctly return that error. These are the supported SQL versions, as per the User Guide:
SQL Server 2005 Standard Edition (and above), SQL Server 2005 Express Edition, or SQL Server 2000

The Express Edition will install automatically through the FSSMC setup, if you so choose that option. Otherwise you'll need to install SQL Server 2005 or 2000 and follow the instructions to setup SQL beforehand.
