I know with Windows server 2008 i can assign task to a Event ID & send email alert & at the same time xml file can be customized according to need.
Currently i have a requirement to configure the same with Windows server 2003 R2 for set of event ID's.
I also have Powershell 2.0 installed on server. Can script will help in doing this. Advice some scripts for doint it.
Friday, November 16, 2012 5:02 AMThere is no mechanism to trigger a script when an event get generated in the event log of 2003. What I do is get a report of all errors and warnings from each server for the last 24 hours, which gets emailed to me daily.

This is a scripting forum - you might try asking in a more appropriate forum.

Yes you can. However the down side is that EventTriggers runs under the account name of the logged on user. So in my experience I have found if nobody is logged onto the server EventTrigger does not execute when the given Event ID is logged.
I hope that helps.
