I was able to install all of my updates. I had to do the following update last. I did all of the others, one by one, and did this one last. A lot of restarts, but at least everything installed successfully:
Update for Windows 7 for x64-based Systems (KB2647753)

Thanks for this tip. I've been in reboot hell all week long with Windows repeatedly trying and failing to update a set of updates. With this approach I was able to work around the problem!

Thanks, this worked!
My new computer had over 80 new updates to install. I went through and installed by date, so about 5-10 updates at a time that were released at the same time. I waited to install Update for Windows 7 for x64-based Systems (KB2647753) until the end.
