  I'm getting this too.

  I was able to install all of my updates.  I had to do the following update last.  I did all of the others, one by one, and did this one last.  A lot of restarts, but at least everything installed successfully:

  Update for Windows 7 for x64-based Systems (KB2647753)

  Download size: 2.0 MB

  You may need to restart your computer for this update to take effect.

  Update type: Recommended

  Install this update to resolve issues in Windows. For a complete listing of the issues that are included in this update, see the associated Microsoft Knowledge Base article for more information. After you install this item, you may have to restart your computer.

  Garry,

  Thanks for this tip. I've been in reboot hell all week long with Windows repeatedly trying and failing to update a set of updates. With this approach I was able to work around the problem!

  Thanks, this worked!

  My new computer had over 80 new updates to install. I went through and installed by date, so about 5-10 updates at a time that were released at the same time. I waited to install Update for Windows 7 for x64-based Systems (KB2647753)  until the end.
