Mcafee firewall vs Win 7 firewall

I was on Pandoras site after a few songs the mcafee firewall message popped up and said the firewall has been uninstalled or the computer at risk alert. This actiually happened before with Norton internet security firewall too. Very odd that it was the same site when this happened. The last time Norton had to be completely uninstalled and reinstalled again. Now I just use defender. It seems that using one company for everything IS the answer after all! Bill, you do not have a monopoly yet there is so much merit and piece of mind knowing that one entity is all that is necessary for the majority of computer users (and engineers) to go to for a turn key solution! Thanks But why?...... Mcafee and Norton are good companies yet they are not infallible? gee go figure! Anyway, my question is that since defender is integral to 7 should anybody even bother with an external firewall and security program at all?
