I have HP Envy 14 2020nr, 1 year old, running Windows 7 home premium, service pack 1 all factory installed.
At random intervals I get the Blue Screen Error: BUGCODE_USB_DRIVER then it crashes and restarts even if there is no USB device attached. However sometimes I hear the sound of a USB being plugged in or removed although I am not doing either. I have disabled, enabled, updated, uninstalled, reinstalled etc. the USB drivers, run extensive virus checks .... no joy
BTW, the crashing began just about the same time I started having problems with the webcam disconnecting when I move the screen. I disabled it but it still crashes.
Any ideas???
Is the webcam a USB device? Could the cause of the problem be a fault in the webcam cable? If so how do I fix?
The information copied from events viewer: The computer has rebooted from a bugcheck. The bugcheck was: 0x000000fe (0x0000000000000008,
0x0000000000000006, 0x0000000000000005, 0xfffffa80087d77a0).I have uploaded the last 2 dump files to SkyDrive. The link is in the title.
