Wiki Activities 6 Hours Off in Profile

I've noticed a few times lately that Wiki activities show up in the profile dated 6 hours in the past, when they were done only a few minutes in the past. For example, I updated this article about 20 minutes ago:
but it shows in my profile 7 hours ago (at this time):

The two most recent activities shown below in this screen shot of my profile were actually in the last 30 minutes. All seem to be off by 6 hours. My time zone bias is 6 hours:

Monday, June 11, 2012 7:28 AMi think maybe there's a relation between your time zone and the wiki publisher editing .... then your time zone is 6 , maybe the publisher have a diffrent time zone , and the time zone is not equal to 0 ...

Go to the Wiki or Blogs page, click "Settings" on the top right.
Make sure your Time Zone is correct.
What does your Time Zone say?
... This would make sense why it's happening on Wiki and Blogs... since this setting seems to be connected between the two apps (not Gallery or Forums or Profile).

Refoffer and Ed, you nailed it. I didn't even know there was a separate Wiki profile. Mine showed UTC (Edinburgh), which I think means offset 0 hours. I changed it to -6 (my time zone offset). This doesn't affect past activities, but I'm sure it will affect new ones.
I didn't think the problem was mine since I saw the same error in everyone else's profile as well. Also, is this new? I never changed anything. And I see nothing similar in the forums, and they always showed activities correctly.
I think I remember being prompted to check my profile about a week ago, and maybe that is when this started for me. Maybe it was when we seemed to lose our profiles and couldn't update the Wiki's. I figured nothing changed so just saved, and never noticed any time zone setting.

Sorry. I thought sure updating my Wiki settings would work, but so far it has not. It took me awhile to verify. I updated my Wiki settings, then restarted IE, then restarted my computer. Still, my last Wiki update, only a few minutes ago, shows as 7 hours in the past in my profile.

Unless it takes some time for settings to take affect? I changed my time zone over an hour ago.

Hi Ed,
checked the time zone settings (settings top right between username and log out). It's UTC+1 for me which would match for germany.

Today our Wiki activities are showing up in our profiles for the first time in over a week. Finally I can tell if the timing issue I reported above has been fixed. Unfortunately, it has not. My Wiki activity that shows up on the main Wiki page as 6 hours ago (at present) shows up in my profile as 13 hours ago. The 7 hour differential remains. My activity a few minutes ago shows up as 7 hours ago in my profile.
The one difference I see since I updated the time zone in my Wiki profile is that the recent activities on the main Wiki page now show the date change (say from Wednesday to Thursday) in my time zone rather than UTC. The recent activities on the main Wiki page has always had the correct number of hours in the past, but now the day of the week changes at midnight local time.

Others are now reporting that they see the 7 hour error for Wiki activities in their Profile. See this thread:

In both cases they report that their time zone is correct in their Wiki profile.
