Although there are perfectly good reasons why you might be getting certificate errors when browsing to the site, I would check that the name of the certificate matches the configuration you have set in the enrollment cmdlets.
Have you installed, and run at least once, the MDM console? I have seen the BPA report strange errors when the server roles have been installed, but the console hasn't been run. (Some cmdlets must be run behind the scenes when installing the console I suppose.)
