Remote DNS Administration on Windows Server 2012

    Question

  • Hello Everyone,

I'm trying to Remote DNS from one server 2012 to another server 2012 using the DNS console. I can't seem to figure it out.

( Here is what I'm supposed to do I'm supposed to use SVR-MBR-C DNS CONSOLE to connect to the DNS server on SVR-DC-A)

     I've tried everything.

Could someone please point me in the right Direction.

    Thanks

  • Hi,

Firstly can you let me know, what the exact way you want to take remotely?

Then please make sure that the DNS settings are correct so that two Windows Server 2012 RC computer can communicate normally.

For this I suggest that please check whether you have installed DNS Server Tool during installing of DNS Server Role. Referhere for more information.

Then, Enable “DNSSEC validation for remote response” in DNS Server properties under Advanced Tab.

Also you can Import\Add public DNSSEC key for the root zone as trust anchor into the system.

Refer article “DNS Workshop” and “Overview of DNSSEC” to understand more clearly and implement easily in your environment.

If your concern is mange DNS server remotely, please refer how to “Manage DNS Servers”.

    Hope This Helps!
    Thanks.
