i'm trying to install VMware's vCenter on a Server 2012 VMware virtual machine.
As vCenter needs a database I opted to install SQL Server 2008 which is included in the vCenter package.
However, after extracting and trying to install SQL Server 2008 I always receive the error code 2226388992 and I can't for the live of me figure out what's causing it.
Can anybody help me?

Are you doing a slip stream installation of SQL 2008?
Also, in the VMware vCenter installation click on explore media and right click the autorun.exe then select Run As Administrator option.

You would need to install SP3 of SQL Server 2008 to make it compatible with Windows Server 2012. For more information, please read the following article:
