Cubevalue formula - multiselect

    Question

  • is there anyway to do a multiselect within a Cubevalue formula?

What I have now works for pulling "[Forecast Staff Data].[ResourceType].[Full-time Regular]"

    =CUBEVALUE("PowerPivot Data", "[Measures].[Headcount]","[dim_Periods].[Year].["& H$14 &"]  ",   "[dim_Periods].[Month Short].[" & H$15 & "]", "[dim_CostCenter Rollup].[UK Rollup].["& $C$3 &"]", "[Forecast Staff Data].[ResourceType].[Full-time Regular]")

but I need it to pull "[Full-time Regular]" AND "[Part-time Regular]"

    any ideas?

    Thanks

  • Hi Zero,

Use another cell to create a CUBESET formula.  Your CUBESET formula would be like this

    =CUBESET("PowerPivotData","{[Forecast Staff Data].[ResourceType].[Full Time Regular],[Forecast Staff Data].[ResourceType].[Part Time Regular]}")

Now, in your original CUBEVALUE formula, point to the cell containing the CUBESET and it will now reference both attributes.

  • Thanks David.  Looks like this will do the trick.  I'll have to play around with the cubeset function more often.
