Unanswered scsm 2010 sp1 - command line switches for install? Ability to force console language

    Hello to the community,

We have finished an installation of scsm 2010 sp1 into our production environment and now have reached the question is it possible to force all console installations to US English even though the regional settings for our office encompasses many different regional languages.

My idea is that possibly there is a command line switch for installing the console with a force language, or a way to hack the installation media so that only english language is possible?

Many users want to only use English instead of their mother language and from an application point of view, we want to only create work items, templates, workflows etc. in one language, instead of in all of the spoken languages in our deptartment.

Any assistance would be much appreciated.

    Hi,

I'm sorry, but originally, the console language was based upon the system locale, but nowdays it seems to have some kind of relation to the OS language. There is no way to override this setting afaik.

During the beta of SP1, I did register a DCR to be able to override the automatic localization, but that DCR was postponed by Microsoft.

    Regards
