I am trying to install App-V on a 64-bit Windows 2008 server.  The install almost finishes but then errors out with "Error 25122, The installation program was unable to register the ASP .NET web service extension."

I have searched the web but no one seems to have the answer.  Please Help!

    hello,

In 2k3 there was a setting to allow IIS / ASP.net to run with 32-bit code - is there a similiar one in wk8?

    Hi,

Personally, I encountered the situation when I have switched my IIS Application Pools to be able to work in 32 bit mode to be able to install sql server 2005 x86.
As I don't use reporting services at the moment, I switched them back to 64 bit, app-v installed just fine ...
But the day I will need Reporting Services, I don't know whether everything will work fine if i switch to 32 bit mode ...

(in IIS 7 -> Application Pools -> Set Application Pool Defaults -> Enable 32-Bit Applications -> False)
