    Hello,

    Is there any particular software that you are interested in?

    As long as the basis are OK (no drivers, no shell integration, no os-integration etc etc) I can't see any specific issues with software for these types of packages - but then again I am not sure which one your are targeting.

    Thank you very much for your replies.  The CAD/CAM/CAE packages are typically very I/O intensive, thick client applications.  These apps will all usually have a thin client as well, primarily for documentation and for viewing the 2 and 3D lightweight JT representations of the data.

    Please pardon my ignorance, but can you explain the "no shell integration" in this context for me?

    Hello,

    Most common example;
    right-click and choose Add to "whatever your filecompression software is" will not work....

    File associations will work....
