What is very strange is that it seems that the client cannot load applications from a subfolder of the root content. Indeed the default app is working but not the applications on the subfolders. When I use filemon.exe, I can see that the client cannot find the sft file on the root content (the client does not search on the subfolder)

The same packages work on TS client but not on XP client.

    Why ?
    Can someone help me ?

    Thanks to all

    David

    Hi all,

    Thanks for your help

I finally solved my issue. I decided today to uninstall / reinstall the app-v client on the XP box and I find the fix :D

During the first install I fill the option Application root content (custom installation odf the client) and that's probably why the client always search for sft file only in this directory and not in the subfolders.

When I reinstall I left this option blank and now it works like a charm

    Thanks

    David

    Hi,

the client tries to load the file from \\distribctx\src$\streams\appv45\Office2007-2_2.sft
To verifiy that this location is correct, you can try to insert this UNC into Windows Explorer and see, if the file can be accessed.
Explorer should tell you if it is an Access Permission issue or if the file simply can't be found.

Is the SFT located in that mentioned location?
    Do users have Read Access?

What deployment method do you use (Standalone MSI, Full Infrastructure (App-V Management Server), SCCM)?

    Hi Kirk_tn,

No the sft file is not on the location \\distribctx\src$\streams\appv45\Office2007-2_2.sft. It is on the location : \\distribctx\src$\streams\appv45\Office 2007 II\Office2007-2_2.sft

It seems that the client is unable to search on the "Office 2007 II" subfolder.

I have the same issue when I double click on the osd file.

I use an App-V Management Server to deploy applications to clients.

    Thanks

    David

    Hello,

Would be interesting to check the ASR / OSR value.

How is the .OSD file configured?

What is the reference of the package in the app-v server?
