    Hello,

    I have sequnced the application FINCAD_FincadXL_11_ENG, This application has Excel Add Ins and it Installs a FINCAD Service.

    But when i Launched the shortcut it shows a Prompt saying that FINCAD Service is not running.

    I have tried to check virtually By addign cmd.exe between depandency and dependency tab.

    and I found that service is Installed correctly But It is not running as per the source.

    So any body have any idea! how to virtualize the services using Sequncer verson 4.2.2.15.

    Please share with me.

    Yes it is set to Automatic. then also it is not running.

    Hello,

    Well, depending on what the service actually does - it may not be possible to sequence.

    Any possibility to see why it fails to start and what its supposed todo?

    You may check in a "normal" installation what account the serivce is using to start. App-V only supports "local system" (no Network Service, no named users)

    While during monitoring the creation of entires to this hive is restricted i guess Hence failed to Start the service even during monitoring.

    This may be the reason why application fails to start the service.

    Does the service depend on a virtualised environment variable?  If so, create the variable on the host machine and see if that helps..

    What does it say when you try to start this virtual service manually (via cmd.exe launched in VE)?
